From Texas Task Force 1:

Texas Task Force 1 (TX-TF1), sponsored by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, has deployed Water Rescue Teams in advance of a cold front system with the potential to produce heavy rains and flash flooding in West and Central Texas tonight and through the weekend.

The highly trained TX-TF1 water search and rescue personnel and equipment resources were deployed today by the Texas Division of Emergency Management and positioned to support the areas of Abilene, Austin, Brownwood, Llano, San Antonio, Stephenville, and Denton, should local first responders require additional support.

Assets deployed include six Water Rescue Squads and a Water Division Group Supervisor, along with four Helicopter Search and Rescue Technicians (HSARTs), who deploy with helicopter crews in partnership with Texas Military Forces, and an HSART manager.
