Texas A&M System Regent Arrested For DWI

A member of the Texas A&M system board of regents has been arrested for drunk driving.

According to online records, 47 year old Tony Buzbee of Houston is scheduled to make an appearance in a Harris County courtroom May 31st.

Court records indicate Buzbee was arrested by Houston police March 31st on the misdemeanor charge, and was released from jail after posting a $500 dollar bond.

A third year member of the regents, Buzbee was appointed by Governor Perry. Buzbee was later a member of Perry’s legal team after the governor was indicted on criminal charges that were later dismissed.
