Texas A&M Senior Associate Director of Athletics Leaving

According to multiple reports, Raymond Harrison, Jr., the Senior Associate Director of Athletics at Texas A&M University, is leaving to take a position with North Carolina State.

A native of Chicago, Ill., Harrison served as the Senior Associate Athletics Director at the University of South Carolina before coming to Texas A&M in 2013.

In his three years in Aggieland, Harrison oversaw the athletics department’s student-athlete services division, including academic support, life skills and community outreach. His responsibilities also include oversight of the athletics training, sports medicine and sports nutrition programs and coordination of the performance triangle team including sports performance and sports science.

Harrison also served as the sport administrator for the men’s and women’s track and field, and cross country programs and is the department’s liaison to faculty and student affairs, including the department of student life and student counseling services.
