HOUSTON (AP) _ Retail gasoline prices across Texas have dropped 6 cents this week to average $3.68 per gallon.
AAA Texas reported Thursday that’s 9 cents below the nationwide average.
The weekly motor club survey found Galveston prices the highest statewide, at $3.76 a gallon. Amarillo had the cheapest: $3.49 per gallon.
The state average a year ago at this time was $3.85. The record high average for Texas was $3.98 in July 2008.
