Texas A&M’s Allen, Carlton earn SEC weekly honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Two members of the No. 9 Texas A&M women’s swimming and diving team earned weekly honors from the Southeastern Conference Tuesday. Junior diver Haley Allen was named SEC Women’s Diver of the Week and freshman Emma Carlton was named SEC Freshman of the Week.

In her final home meet of the season Allen won both springboard events in the wins over Houston and Vanderbilt. Allen placed first in both the 1-meter dive (312.83) and the 3-meter dive (339.83).

Carlton won the 50-yard freestyle (23.39) and the 100-yard butterfly (54.46), earning her first individual wins during her rookie campaign and was also part of the first-place 400-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay.
