Texas A&M Women’s Golf Signs No 2 Recruiting Class in the Country

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M women’s golf signed the No. 2 recruiting class in the country according to Golfweek.com Wednesday after signing four of the top prospects in the 2025 class.

“What an amazing day to celebrate this group of young ladies and their families coming together to join us in Aggieland,” head coach Gerrod Chadwell said. “The energy from this bunch is contagious and I look forward to their impact on our program and university! They join an already great nucleus of Aggies. What a blessing it is to be able to come into their lives at this time and go along this journey with them. Our future is in great hands!”

The class features Scarlett Schremmer, Natalie Yen, Brynn Kort and Avery Zweig. Shremmer, Yen and Kort all rank in the top five of the 2025 class and Zweig is one of the top-rated junior golfers in Texas. All four have experience at elite USGA events, including the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship. This marks the best recruiting class in program history.

Scarlett Schremmer | Birmingham, Alabama

Schremmer was tabbed as the No. 1 American golfer by College Golf Commits and the No. 2 overall player in the 2025 class by the Junior Golf Scoreboard ranking. The 2024 Rolex Junior First Team All-American was named to the inaugural U.S. National Junior Team, which was a milestone for the U.S. National Development Program.

Helped USA defeat Team Europe at the 2024 PING Junior Solheim Cup where she added 2.0 points for the Americans. Schremmer won the 2023 Alabama Junior Amateur and the 2024 Dye Junior Invitational. The Birmingham, Alabama, native advanced to the round of 16 at the 75th U.S. Girls Junior Championship and the 124th U.S. Women’s Amateur.

Natalie Yen | West Linn, Oregon

Yen joins the Aggies as the No. 4 recruit in the country, according to the College Golf Commits rankings. Yen boasts wins at the 2024 AJGA ANNIKA/Hilton Grand Vacations Invitational, 2024 California Women’s Championship, 2023 Oregon Junior Amateur and 2023 Kathy Whitworth Invitational.

Yen was a member of the 2024 PING Junior Solheim Cup USA squad alongside Schremmer that took down Team Europe 18.5-5.5. Yen secured her team 2.5 points during the tournament. Yen was tabbed as a 2024 Rolex Junior Second Team All-American.

Brynn Kort | Kingman, Arizona

Kort comes in as the No. 5 golfer in the class on the Junior Golf Scoreboard ranking. The Kingman, Arizona, native posted a pair of runner-up finishes at the 2024 Dustin Johnson World Junior Championship and 2024 Justin Thomas Junior Championship. Kort earned a 2024 Rolex Honorable Mention All-America nod.

The 2022 Nevada State Champion also logged top 10 finishes during the 2024 season at the Ping Invitational, Rolex Girls Junior and Kathy Whitworth Invitational. Kort also advanced all the way to the round of 16 at the 75th U.S. Girls’ Junior Golf Championship.

Avery Zweig | McKinney, Texas

Zweig is the No. 9 golfer in the Lone Star State from the 2025 class according to the Junior Golf Scoreboard and the No. 52 player overall in the class. Zweig signs with the Aggies as an incredibly accomplished junior and amateur golfer. The McKinney, Texas, native was the youngest player at the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur at just 15 years old and tied for 25th. The 2021 Rolex First Team All-American also won the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship.

Zweig made five appearances at the U.S. Girls’ Junior Golf Championship. She made history at the 2018 championship where she became the youngest golfer to ever qualify for the event at 11 years, five months and 19 days old.
