Texas A&M Women’s Golf Earns Three Seed at SEC Championships

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BELLEAIR, Fla. – The No. 16 Texas A&M women’s golf team earned the No. 3 seed on Sunday at the 2024 SEC Championships at the par-70 Pelican Golf Club. The Aggies will face off against No. 6 seed Arkansas in the quarterfinals of match play on Monday.

“It’s a new tournament now,” head coach Gerrod Chadwell said. “We wanted to be in the top four to be able to somewhat control the matches in your favor, and we did that. I am proud of the team. We will be relying on our experience from the past two years. We can pair up a lot of different ways in these matches. I feel confident in how we are playing and anything can happen from here on out.”

The reigning SEC Champions will take on the Razorbacks at 7:50 a.m. on Monday. The Aggies have four golfers in the lineup with at least 14 matches played in their careers.
