INDIANAPOLIS – The Texas A&M volleyball team was selected for the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight year, as the Aggies head to Arizona State to face Colorado State in the opening round Friday, Dec. 6, with first serve set for 5:30 p.m.
A&M (19-7) is headed to the postseason for the second-consecutive season under head coach Jamie Morrison’s leadership. The Aggies travel to the home of the Sun Devils for the opening rounds of the tournament, where they will face the Rams in the first round and if they advance would play the winner of Arizona State and New Hampshire.
The Maroon & White are coming off a 19-win regular season, including a 10-6 conference ledger. The 10 wins is the highest total in league play since the 2019 season and included a pair of ranked victories over then-No. 7 Texas and then-No. 24 Auburn.
A&M has battled with the best all year, claiming wins over nine 2024 NCAA Tournament teams including, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas State, Northern Iowa, Texas, A&M-Corpus Christi, Ole Miss, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
Leading the Aggies into the tournament is a pair of all-conference honorees, as Logan Lednicky and Ifenna Cos-Okpalla were named to the 2024 All-SEC First Team. This was Lednicky’s third-straight All-SEC selection, while Cos-Okpalla earned her first SEC postseason award selection.
