Texas A&M System Board Of Regents Meeting Interrupted By Two Men Who Were Arrested

The October 31, 2019 meeting of the Texas A&M system board of regents was interrupted by two men protesting the use of dogs for medical research on the flagship campus.

A&M police charged 79 year old actor James Cromwell of New York City and 34 year old Jeremy Beckham of Salt Lake City with hindering proceedings by disorderly conduct.

The interruption happened during the chancellor’s report.

Regents chairwoman Elaine Mendoza of San Antonio paused the meeting until the men were removed.

Then Sharp resumed with a comment about the interruption before resuming his report.

The chancellor referred to his labrador retriever when he said “Guapo (which is pronounced WAPO) would take great offense to that.”

The men are out of jail after each posted a $5,000 dollar bond.
