The Texas A&M system board of regents unanimously agrees on a settlement offer with former president Mark Welsh.
What the regents approved at a special meeting on Friday (September 26) was not released to the public because it has to be accepted by Welsh.
There were also no public comments by any of the eight regents who met in College Station about the settlement agreement.
Then the regents spent more than four hours into executive session to discuss in private, their process to select an interim president.
Among those meeting with the regents and chancellor was A&M’s acting president, system vice chancellor of academic affairs James Hallmark.
The executive session agenda also included the possibility of discussing other undisclosed personnel and real estate matters.
