A Brazos County Grand Jury handed down a third-degree felony indictment Thursday against 47-year-old Walter John Wronka, II, of College Station.
Wronka was arrested at his home in the 900 block of Azalea Court just after 2:00am on the morning of September 25, 2026. College Station Police responded to the home after receiving a 9-1-1 hang up call.
Officers found Wronka covered in sweat, telling police that he had been “wrestling” with his girlfriend, because he did not want her to leave their home. The woman told officers they had been arguing when Wronka threw her to the floor and pinned her down to prevent her from leaving. He also struck her in the face with the back of his hand.
Officers noted bruising on her shoulder and arm, and a laceration on her lip.
Wronka was arrested and charged with Unlawful Restraint and Family Violence Assault Enhanced by a Previous Conviction. His previous conviction is from 2010.
He is free on $15,000 bond pending the outcome of the trial.
