News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M’s Emiley Kennedy has been named a Softball America Preseason First Team All-American, the organization announced Tuesday morning.

Kennedy earned Softball America Second Team All-American honors after finishing her junior season with a 24-11 record, 1.93 ERA and 1.123 WHIP in 202.2 innings pitched. As a junior she registered the third-most shutouts (10) and complete games (24) in the nation, while ranking top 20 in the country with 200 strikeouts. Kennedy became the first Aggie pitcher in 13 seasons to record double-digit shutouts and the first in 11 years to register at least 200 strikeouts in a campaign.

Kennedy asserted herself as one of the top pitchers in the nation’s toughest conference earning All-SEC First Team honors a season ago. She led the SEC in league play with 100.1 innings pitched and ranked second with nine wins, while her 86 strikeouts set a program record.

Texas A&M hosts the Aggie Classic to open the 2025 campaign on Feb. 6 against Utah State at 4:30 p.m. and Purdue at 7 p.m. at Davis Diamond.
