Texas A&M Soccer Adds Allison Lowrey for 2024

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M soccer team bolstered its attack with the addition of transfer Allison Lowrey, a forward who spent the last four seasons at Rutgers, head coach G Guerrieri announced.

“Adding Allie to the Aggie soccer family really boosts our already improved firepower for the coming 2024 season,” Guerrieri said. “She has been well coached and is experienced in scoring goals for a great Rutgers program. They routinely chase Big 10 titles, and she has already played in a College Cup. We’re excited to see what she helps us accomplish with a team that returns all our defenders, key playmakers, and the leading scorers from 2023 and she will help us compete for trophies.”

Lowrey arrives in Aggieland as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. During her time with the Scarlet Knights, she appeared in 80 games, including 41 starts. Lowrey tallied 57 points for her career with 21 goals and 15 assists.

The Bridgewater, New Jersey, native had her most productive season in 2022 starting all 20 games. Lowrey totaled 18 points with seven goals and four assists and earned a spot on the 2022 All-Big Ten Third Team. She was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week early that season after registering two goals and two assists against New Mexico and UNLV.

In her sophomore campaign, Lowrey helped Rutgers to a perfect regular season conference record and a run to the College Cup semifinals. She notched 16 points on six goals and four assists with five of her goals coming against Big Ten foes.

Last season, Lowrey appeared in all 20 games with 19 starts. She led Rutgers in points with 16 on six goals and four assists.

With the addition of Lowrey, Texas A&M has added five transfers in the offseason, including forwards Brie Severns (Kansas), Kennedy Clark (Xavier) and Shae O’Rourke (South Carolina) and midfielder Leah Pirro (Grand Canyon).

“I’m excited to see the addition of a Jersey girl into our team’s chemistry,” Guerrieri said. “It will be fund to see the payoff at Ellis Field this fall.”

Texas A&M returns to action Saturday, August 3 when the Maroon & White host the Rice Owls in an exhibition match at Ellis Field.
