TEMPE, Ariz. – Led by the No. 3 doubles ranking of Giulio Perego and Togan Tokac, seven members of the Texas A&M men’s tennis team earned spots in the preseason edition of the 2024-25 ITA national rankings.
Perego, a senior from Milan, Italy, and Tokac, a junior from Istanbul, Turkey, were NCAA qualifiers last season after tallying a team-high 11 ranked victories while compiling a 22-10 record as a doubles tandem. Holding down the No. 1 doubles line, Perego and Tokac posted a 15-7 record, including a 6-3 mark against SEC foes. The pair finished 2023-24 ranked No. 17 by the ITA.
Also earning a top 20 ranking was senior JC Roddick, who came in at No. 17 in the singles ranking after winning a team-high 26 matches last season. Roddick, from San Antonio, was 26-13 overall with a 15-9 record in dual match play. Also a returning NCAA qualifier, Roddick posted a team-high eight victories over ranked opponents.
Other Aggies earning preseason rankings in singles were Perego (No. 93), senior Luke Casper (No. 113) and Tokac (No. 117). Joining Perego and Tokac in the doubles rankings were incoming transfer Tomas Pinho and sophomore Brayden Michna (No. 55) and Roddick and redshirt senior Matthis Ross (No. 81).
