In January, Texas A&M’s food service provider is opening a dining hall on west campus.

A&M faculty senate member Andrew Klein recapped a tour during the senate’s November meeting where west campus options will include Chik-Fil-A, Shake Smart, Houston Street Subs, and a Copperhead Jack’s.

Klein said after the new dining hall opens, the “Ag Cafe” will be turned into a Starbucks and a self-serve marketplace that will also have sushi.

Klein invited senators…who included one member who says there is a food desert on the health science center campus in west Bryan…to contact Chartwell’s, who is in charge of campus dining.
