Texas A&M Baseball No. 1 in Baseball America Preseason Poll

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball team picked up its third preseason No. 1 ranking on Monday as Baseball America released its Preseason Top 25 poll.

This marks the second time in program history the Aggies will open as the No. 1 team in the poll after also earning the distinction in 2009. The Maroon & White have now been tabbed as the No. 1 team in all three preseason polls that have been released out of the five major publications. Texas A&M is one of five SEC programs in the Top 10, which leads all conferences.

The Aggies are coming off a historic run in 2024 that saw them reach the College World Series Finals for the first time in program history. The trip to Omaha marked the Maroon & White’s second in the last three seasons and eighth overall. Texas A&M is entering its first season under head coach Michael Earley, who helped turn the Aggies into one of the most powerful and potent offenses in the country during his tenure as an assistant the last three seasons.

Texas A&M opens its 2025 slate Friday, Feb. 14 against Elon at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
