One of the pieces of establishing quiet zones along railroad tracks in Bryan will be demonstrated Wednesday afternoon.

Motorists in downtown Bryan may see city officials next to the tracks crossing Main and Pease Streets.

Consultants will be operating wayside horns, which take the place of train horns and produce less noise.

The wayside horns are placed next to railroad crossing arms and are pointed towards the direction of oncoming traffic.

The demonstration is taking place Wednesday afternoon between four and six.
