Tech looking at Kingsbury

As college football turns on their coaches tumbler, an Aggie coach may be in the mix. Texas Tech says offensive line coach Chris Thomsen will serve as interim coach of the Red Raiders for their bowl game.  Thomsen got the nod two days after Tommy Tuberville left to take the Cincinnati job.  Neal Brown, the team’s offensive coordinator also left to take the same job at Kentucky.  All this leads to Aggie Offensive Coordinator Kliff Kingsbury being in the running for the the Head spot at Tech. Kingsbury was a Red Raider from 99-02’. Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt said head coaching experience would not be a requirement, which puts Kingsbury in the top two contenders. The other contender is Clemson O.C. Chad Morris.
