Teamwork Continues for Industrial Park

The City of Bryan is working with Brazos County to develop a second generation industrial park on just over 191 acres of land in the northern part of the county.

Click to hear WTAW’s Chris Clift talk with County Judge Randy Sims:

The new park will have rail service and should be able to serve a wide variety of potential employers.

Sims says the partnership with Bryan is beneficial for many reasons, including the savings that will come from BTU providing the utilities.

There isn’t a firm estimate on when the second generation industrial park might be open for business.

The Economic Development Foundation (the partnership between Bryan and Brazos County) has applied for federal grant money to help develop the property.

Sims says the outcome of that grant application will determine the timeline for opening the facility.
