BELLVILLE, Texas (AP) _ Texas police are searching for four or five suspects in connection with the weekend shooting death of a suburban Houston doctor.
Authorities said suspects in several cars, including a white pickup truck and a red sedan, got past road blocks as they were fleeing the scene.
On Saturday, Dr. Jorge Mario Gonzalez was shot to death as he was arriving at his 30-acre ranch in Bellville, 60 miles northwest of Houston.
Texas Department of Public Safety’s Lisa Block said the suspects were already at the home when they attacked Gonzalez’s family. Ranch hand Noel Galvan was also wounded, Block said.
Gonzalez, 56, was chief of critical care at The Methodist Hospital. Gonzalez’s wife and their 2-year-old son were not injured.
