Original story:

Severe weather through Bryan and College Station on Sunday not only disrupted electric service, but many Suddenlink customers.

Quoting a Suddenlink representative’s response on Facebook to WTAW News, “I have reviewed the outage and there were over 12,000 customers affected. The techs are working on the fiber damage due to a tree falling on the line but, we do not have an estimated time of repair. We hope to have it back up soon to all affected and I sincerely apologize.”

Minutes later, the representative added “we were just advised service is restored. It may take a few minutes but the damage is repaired.”

Neither the Suddenlink Facebook representative or a corporate spokeswoman from Suddenlink parent company Altice has confirmed whether service has been restored to customers affected only on Monday afternoon, or to the more than 12,000.

As of Monday afternoon, posts on WTAW’s Facebook and Twitter indicated some Suddenlink customers are still without service.
