The names have been changed of four College Station streets where there are currently no physical addresses. The city council at its last meeting, approved a request by the developer in the city’s midtown district, which is generally east of the freeway and between Fitch and Rock Prairie.
The city’s transportation coordinator, Jason Schubert said the request, which was made in May, went to three committees following an initial staff review.
James Murr, who made the request, thanked the council and staff for what he called a branding effort.
Of the four name changes, the most recognizable will be turning Lakeway Drive into Midtown Drive.

Midtown was among the topics discussed with College Station mayor Karl Mooney on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs.
