Not enough students attending Texas colleges and universities are taking advantage of a state-funded loan program.
Brandon Webb at Blinn College says the B-ON-TIME loan can turn into a grant if you complete the associates degree program in two years with a qualifying grade point average.
Blinn received $56,000 this year, of which about half has been spent. Next year’s allocation from the state was reduced to $25,000.
Brandon Webb visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
This year’s B-ON-TIME allotment at Texas A&M University is $7,895,200 and next year’s amount is $7,831,286.
