Starkel entered the 2017 season as the Aggies’ starter, but suffered a broken ankle in the teams’ season-opener against UCLA.
He returned to play in the Aggies’ final six games, throwing for 1,793 yards and 14 TDs to go along with 6 interceptions.
The Argyle, Texas native was used sparingly in 2018, appearing in 5 games and throwing for 169 yards and a touchdown.
Starkel leaves Aggieland with 2 years of eligibility remaining.
