A Brazos County sheriff’s deputy clocking a motorcyclist doing 95 on Highway 30 Tuesday night between Harvey Road and William D. Fitch led to a chase, a crash, and an arrest.
After the deputy stopped the pursuit due to excessive speed and road conditions, a witness called 9-1-1 to report the motorcycle crashed on Bird Pond Road near Tonkaway Lake Road.
According to the arrest report, 23 year old Adam Kelly of College Station admitted going 95 and thought he could lose the deputy.
Kelly was arrested for evading and for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Kelly told the deputy he carried the loaded .45 caliber handgun for protection.
