Six years in prison awaits a College Station man who pleaded guilty to six seperate criminal cases involving illegal driving and drug possession.

The most serious of the crimes involving 25 year old Marcus Lozano was driving his SUV through a red light at Texas and George Bush and striking a second SUV. The crash last January seriously injured the driver of the second vehicle and a passenger riding with Lozano.

According to the arrest report, the crash began as a high speed chase in Northgate when a UPD officer saw Lozano drive his SUV over two raised medians.

Lozano was ordered to pay more than $106,000 dollars in medical expenses and vehicle damages.

Two months after the crash, according to court records, Lozano was arrested on consecutive days for possessing marijuana and a controlled substance. He pleaded guilty in those cases along with three incidents before the crash…a second DWI and two arrests for driving with an invalid license. And all five of those incidents took place after Lozano was convicted for tampering with evidence, a crime which he had been sentenced to ten years in prison but was released on three years probation.
