Six Digit Improvements Coming To Bryan ISD’s Performing Arts Centers

Action taken during the July 13th Bryan school board meeting included spending more than $420,000 dollars on improvements at the district’s performing arts centers.

BISD’s chief financial officer Kevin Beesaw presented the recommendation to spend savings from last year’s bond issue….mostly to replace the curtain rigging system at the performing arts center adjacent to Stephen F. Austin middle school.

Superintendent Christie Whitbeck and fine arts director Pat Corbett went into more detail about why state law prevented this project from being included in Bryan ISD’s $175 million dollar bond issue that will take place later this year.
