One person was shot in Franklin just before noon on Friday.
According to the Franklin police department, the shooting took place on the southwest side of the city on Sanders Lane.
The victim had minor injuries and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Franklin police has not released names, the relationship between the victim and the suspect, or the circumstances that led to the gunfire.
Robertson County sheriff Gerald Yezak, whose agency assisted Franklin police, says the victim was transported after a gunshot grazed the area of their abdomen.
Yezak says the suspect was taken into custody about 45 minutes after 9-1-1 received the initial call.
Franklin ISD campuses were on lockdown for about 15 minutes as a precautionary measure, according to the timing of the district’s Twitter posts.
