Second Republican Announces Running For Brazos County Sheriff In 2020

A second Republican has announced running for Brazos County sheriff in 2020.

Wayne Dicky, who has been with the sheriff’s office since January 1986, has been the department’s jail administrator since January 1997.

Dicky announced Tuesday his intention to succeed Chris Kirk, who announced he is retiring after 24 years as sheriff and 40 years with the office.

Also seeking the Republican nomination is Bryan police sergeant Jason James.
