Second Brenham Man Arrested On Charges From Deadly Convenience Store Armed Robbery In College Station

A second Brenham man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a College Station convenience store last December where the clerk was shot and killed.

26 year old Robert McCullough Jr. of Brenham was recently booked in the Brazos County jail. That follows a Brazos County grand jury indictment in January charging him with robbery at the Valero store on Rock Prairie at the freeway. McCullough is being held on a $30,000 dollar bond.

The grand jury has also indicted 29 year old Rufus Lockett with capital murder in the death of the clerk, Anita Randle, along with a second December convenience store armed robbery…this one in Bryan at the Valero at Villa Maria and Cavitt where a clerk was hospitalized after he was shot. Lockett is being held on bonds totaling $750,000 dollars.
