Search Process Announced for Next A&M President

An international recruiting firm has been hired and nine Aggies have been appointed to find the next president of Texas A&M University.

No timeline was announced by system chancellor John Sharp to choose the successor to Bowen Loftin.

The seven voting members of the search committee includes three professors. They are former Faculty Senate speaker John Stallone, Joanne Lupton, and John Gladysz.

There are two members of the board of regents, Elaine Mendoza of San Antonio and Cliff Thomas of Victoria.

And there are two graduates who are business executives, Cindy Taylor of Houston and Dan Hughes of Beeville.

Two more members of the committee will not have a vote, student body president Reid Joseph of Dallas and the chair of the A&M staff council, Lisa Blum.
