The Commandant of the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets has announced changes to this week’s Cadets military walk preceding the Aggies football game.
Brigadier General (Ret.) Joe Ramirez posted on his Facebook page this will be the only time this season the march will not go through Kyle Field.
“Given the early start of the march-in, and the route that the Corps will march through campus, many more people will get the opportunity to see our Corps march by, especially at the north end of Kyle Field, Cain Park, and Simpson Drill Field.”
First reported in The Eagle, Saturday’s step-off from the Quad starts at 9:30 a.m. The Corps will march through campus, in front of the Memorial Student Center, in front of the North Plaza of Kyle Field, past Cain Park, past Simpson Drill Field, and up Military Walk towards Sbisa before marching back to the Quad.
The reviewing stand will be positioned in front of the Memorial Student Center, and the Aggie Band will stop on Houston Street and play while Corps marches past on Joe Routt Blvd.
Ramirez says the Cadets will conduct the traditional march-in to Kyle Field for the remaining home games on November 15 and Thanksgiving night.
