SA Man Confesses to 911, Commits Suicide

SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ Police say an elderly San Antonio man shot killed his wife and adult son at the breakfast table, then called 911 before killing himself.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the man called 911 around 9:15 a.m. Saturday and told the dispatcher that “there’s been two homicides, and there’s about to be a suicide.”

Police found the man, believed to be about 80, and his wife and 53-year-old son dead of gunshot wounds in their kitchen.

The son and wife were found dead in the kitchen. The father was found on the floor with a revolver beside him.

Neighbors described the family as friendly, and said the son had recently moved into a bungalow on the property to help care for his elderly parents.
