Six Bryan police officers responding to a report of road rage on the freeway last Saturday night wound up in a residential neighborhood south of the superpark.

A Louisiana man driving a work truck was arrested on weapons and drug charges.

34 year old Nicholas Morel is accused of illegal possession of handgun as a convicted felon and possessing methamphetamine in his wallet.

According to the BPD arrest report, Morel said the meth was not his and the loaded handgun belonged to his fiance, who was riding with him.

The road rage case, where the victim said a man pointed a gun at them while on the freeway near the drivers license office, remains under investigation.

Morel is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $23,000 dollars.
