Rinderknech, Withrow Earn All-America Honors after Advancing at NCAAs

TULSA, Okla. – Texas A&M Men’s Tennis’ Jackson Withrow and Arthur Rinderknech topped Texas Tech’s No. 12 Hugo Dojas and Felipe Soares at the 2016 NCAA Doubles Championship Friday afternoon in Tulsa, Okla.

The singles and doubles competition is being held May 25-30 at the Case Tennis Center, hosted by the University of Tulsa.

No. 8 Rinderknech and Withrow advanced to face No. 13 Skander Monsouri and Christian Seraphim of Wake Forest on Saturday. The Maroon & White clad duo improved to 14-5 on the season following Thursday’s 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (11) victory and are now a team-best 7-5 against ranked foes. The win was the second-straight ranked victory following their highest-ranked career triumph Thursday afternoon, having defeated No. 4 Lucas Conrinteli and Ryan Shane of Virginia in the opening round.

The duo earned All-America status for advancing to the NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals. The honor is the first of the career for Rinderknech and the third for Withrow. The Nebraskan earned doubles honors alongside Junior Ore during his sophomore and junior campaigns.
