The Blinn College board of trustees will have four new members from Washington County this year.
The month after appointing two members to fill unexpired terms, two more have announced they are not running for re-election.
One is David Sommer, who is stepping down after eight years.
And Atwood Kenjura is retiring after 43 years.
Kenjura, who joined the board in 1976, has worked with six presidents and chancellors.
He was on the board when the decision was made in 1995 to build Blinn’s Bryan campus on Villa Maria, as well as Blinn’s new presence on the RELLIS campus.
Kenjura says he will be spending more time with his family, which includes nine grandchildren.
