Texas A&M Men’s Basketball head coach Billy Kennedy will reportedly not return next season.

The story was first reported by Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle.

Kennedy, 55, was hired by Texas A&M in 2011 and led the Aggies to two Sweet 16 appearances and an SEC championship in 2016. However, his teams have failed to reach the NCAA Tournament in six of his eight seasons at the helm.

A year after reaching the Round of 16, the Maroon & White have limped out to a 13-17 overall mark and 6-12 conference record in 2018-19.

Kennedy and the Aggies are currently in Nashville, Tennessee where they’ll face Vanderbilt in the first round of the SEC Tournament Wednesday night.
