A Washington County man is in the Brazos County jail for the 23rd time in 22 years. 39 year old Buddy Perez of Burton was arrested by a sheriff’s deputy Thursday after a woman who lives west of Bryan reported he forced his way into her home and started rummaging through things in the house. According to the arrest report, when the woman screamed he ran out the front door. After a short vehicle pursuit, Perez stopped and told the deputy he took some jewelry as payment for lending a friend some money. According to online jail records, Perez is being held on bonds totaling $20,000 dollars. And according to online court records, in January 2015 Perez was sentenced to eight years in prison for another residential burglary.
A suburban Houston man who two weeks ago was placed on 18 months of probation for two misdemeanor crimes earlier this year in Brazos County was arrested by Texas A&M police early Thursday morning outside the Park West apartments. According to the arrest report, witnesses saw 20 year old Ernest Wilson in the parking lot at 3:30 in the morning grabbing door handles. Wilson was arrested for public intoxication and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
A Bryan woman arrested for DWI with two prior convictions Wednesday night is out of jail after posting bond. A Brazos County sheriff’s deputy arrested 62 year old Vannessa Davis following a traffic stop on Highway 21 outside of Kurten. According to the arrest report, that was after another motorist reported Davis driving all over the westbound lanes of 21 and almost hitting the railing a few times. Davis was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.
A College Station woman is out of jail on bond after her arrest for taking nearly $900 dollars while on the job at a local retailer. College Station police began an investigation in March at the J.C. Penney store. According to the arrest report, 22 year old Shaterrika Felder admitted to processing a customer’s sale, then she would write down the transaction number, do a refund without the customer’s knowledge, and keep the money.
