The Bryan City Council learned Tuesday the decrease in activity and revenue at the municipal golf course.
Parks and Recreation Director Darrell Lovelette reported the number of rounds played this fiscal year is projected to be 3,000 fewer than FY 2011, which was 31,256. And that is down from FY 2010, when 40,011 rounds were played.
Lovelette says FY 2009 was the last year of net revenue, at $209,945. There was a net loss in FY 2010 of $66,262, growing to a loss of $125,703 in FY 2011 and the projection for FY 2012 is a loss of $200,576.
Lovelette noted several promotional efforts that have generated new players and brought back others who had left.
