Recent Arrests for Stalking, Thefts, and Multiple Driving Offenses

At two in the morning on Saturday, a woman contacted College Station police requesting an escort to her apartment after spotting her ex-boyfriend’s car. This followed the woman making several reports of the man making verbal threats and threatening behavior. According to the arrest report, the woman spotted the man, who was stopped by the officer and later learned he had in his pocket a loaded nine millimeter pistol with the safety off. 44 year old Willie Charles Griffin Jr. of Bryan was arrested for stalking and two weapons charges.

A College Station man is accused of selling an AK-47 rifle stolen two weeks ago to an undercover officer. College Station police arrested 26 year old Davor Dizdarevic following the transaction that took place last Thursday night at Lick Creek Park.

A local theft victim watched for two stolen skateboards and a high school ring to go on sale on Craigslist. When that happened, he went to CSPD. That led to an undercover buy in Northgate, resulting in two arrests. The long boards and the ring, with a combined value of almost $1,500 dollars, were recovered. According to arrest reports, 19 year olds Dallas Delmar-Lopez of Euless and Connor Wilkinson of College Station admitted to taking one of the skateboards from the victim’s car. Police found the other board and the ring in Wilkinson’s apartment.

Local law enforcement have made three more arrests involving lengthy histories of driving offenses. Two of the cases were associated with other criminal charges.

57 year old Robert Devrow of Bryan was stopped by Bryan police after an officer saw his car stop at an intersection beyond the white line. The officer first spotted white residue on the blade of a pocketknife that turned out to be crack cocaine. A check of Devrow’s driving record included 42 items…10 convictions and 32 suspensions.

Another Bryan officer stopped a pickup after determining the registration had expired. The driving record of 39 year old Paul Hernandez of Bryan includes 30 convictions and 13 suspensions. Jail records show Hernandez is being held until Monday for a prior conviction of driving with an invalid license.

And a deputy Brazos County constable from precinct one stopped a SUV on the freeway that was going 95 miles an hour. The driving record of 22 year old Cody Byrd of Plantersville had 25 active suspensions and a prior conviction for driving with an invalid license.
