A Bryan man’s 22nd arrest since 2002 accuses him of being in a stranger’s shower. The occupant of an apartment told College Station Police the back door was unlocked and he thought a family member had entered. Instead, it was someone he didn’t know sitting in his shower, fully clothed, who appeared wet but the shower was not running. Earlier in the afternoon, the stranger had knocked on the front door and asked another family member if he could borrow the phone because his car had run out of gas. Then he ran off, only to reappear. 29 year old Tommy Bice was arrested for criminal trespassing. It’s his third arrest in the last four months.
In an unrelated case, Bryan police recently arrested a driver who was under the influence of breathing in the contents of an aerosol can of dust removal spray…also known as huffing. 36 year old Franklin Parker is accused of driving into two yards. The first resulted in knocking down electric guide wires belonging to BTU. A witness who tailed Parker until he lost him called 9-1-1 dispatchers. A short time later, 9-1-1 received a call of a reckless driver whose SUV had stopped in a second yard. Officers found Parker with the aerosol can in his hand. Parker was taken to the hospital to be checked out then transported to jail, where he spent one hour before he was released on bond.
Weekend arrests by Bryan Police includes two men in places they weren’t supposed to be.
In one case, a Bryan man was arrested Friday night for possessing methamphetamine with intent to sell. That’s after a patrolman caught him in a dumpster and his pickup was parked too far from the edge of the road. This was outside the Hospice thrift store on Dellwood. According to the arrest report, 35 year old Stephen Pillow said he had permission to take scrap out of the dumpster. Pillow agreed to a search of his person, and the officer found $475 dollars. A police dog detected an odor of drugs outside the truck. That led to a search inside, where officers seized a bag of meth, a second bag containing 30 smaller baggies, and a tablet computer among other things. Pillow is out of jail after posting bond.
Also on Friday night, six officers responded to a vacant home near Sulphur Springs and Holick, where the occupant had passed away earlier this year. A neighbor reported hearing glass break and a car parked in front. Officers found outside the house a pile of bags, a stereo, and household items. Officers also saw flashlights inside the home and a shattered glass patio door. 27 year old Raul Orozco, who was listed in jail records as being homeless, was arrested for burglary of a habitation.
