Real Authorities Looking For Impersonator in Sexual Assault

A woman told Brazos County Sheriff’s deputies she was sexually assaulted by a man claiming to be a police officer.

Wednesday night about 8 p.m. along Highway 30 near Bird Pond Road, the woman said she was on her way home when she pulled over.

The victim said the man asked her to exit her vehicle, and when she did he forced her into the back seat of her vehicle and attacked her.

The suspect was a white middle aged man driving a black or dark colored Dodge Charger with police type lights in the grill.

Sheriff Chris Kirk asks anyone who was traveling Highway 30 at the time of the attack and might have observed this incident, is asked to call 979-361-4990.

And the sheriff cautions travelers to be mindful of being stopped by any person who is not driving a clearly marked police vehicle.

If in doubt, a driver should call 9-1-1 to confirm they are being stopped by an official vehicle.
