Rangers ship long-time short stop Andrus to Oakland

A huge trade in the American League West Saturday, as the Texas Rangers shipped long-time short stop Elvis Andrus to Oakland for outfielder Khris Davis and two prospects.

Andrus was the last remaining piece of the Rangers World Series teams form 2010 and 2011.

He leaves Texas as the franchise’s all-time leader in steals, while ranking second in games played and third in runs scored and hits.
