Rangers Kinsler, Lewis Have Setbacks

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) _ The Texas Rangers will have to wait longer to get back
right-hander Colby Lewis and second baseman Ian Kinsler.

General manager Jon Daniels said Wednesday that Lewis has been pulled off his
rehabilitation assignment because of muscular soreness in his elbow. Lewis had
surgery last July to repair a torn flexor tendon in his elbow.

Kinsler has been out since May 18 with bruised ribs and hasn’t taken part in
baseball activities since. Daniels says Kinsler has developed a stress reaction
in his ribs and has a “level of discomfort where he can’t play.”

Right-hander Alexi Ogando is set to make a rehab start Friday at Double-A
Frisco. He has been out with right biceps tendinitis, but could be back in the
Rangers rotation next week if all goes well.
