Properly Installed Child Seat Saves Baby In Rollover That Kills Another Passenger

Three people from the Bryan area were involved in a rollover crash Saturday afternoon on Highway 6 north of the FM 2154 exit north of Navasota.

DPS trooper Jimmy Morgan says a passenger in the pickup, six month old Granger Donaldson, escaped serious injury because they were properly secured in a child safety seat.

Another passenger, 38 year old Dedric Junginger, was killed. The driver, 19 year old Mikayla Cruz, was hospitalized.

Morgan says investigators were told Cruz was driving a pickup when she swerved in an attempt to avoid hitting debris and a tire blew, causing the truck to roll.
