Prison For Multiple Domestic Assaults And Violating Probation

Assaulting an ex-girlfriend twice in a two month period a year and a half ago in College Station resulted in a seven year prison sentence. According to the Brazos County district attorney’s office, 25 year old Carlos Vincente Lopez of Franklin pleaded guilty to breaking into the victim’s home, strangulation assault, and violating a protection order from the first assault. Six months before those attacks, Lopez was convicted in Robertson County for assaulting another woman.

Another criminal case from Brazos County district court involving guilty pleas came from a Navasota man violating probation from this third DWI. 51 year old Elias Lerma was sentenced to eight years after admitting to using cocaine, driving without an ignition interlock device, and failing to pay $1,000 dollars in court costs and three years of supervision fees totaling $1,920 dollars.
