The Brazos County district attorney’s office announces a Bryan man has entered guilty pleas in four felony criminal cases and has received the maximum punishment. 22 year old Alexavian Wilson was sentenced to a total of ten years for setting fire to the home of the mother of his infant child, in the process endangering his daughter by leaving her inside the home…and before that being involved in a separate incident where he fired multiple shots during an argument at a College Station apartment complex and threatening to hurt the family of the police officer who arrested him in that case. Wilson, who will have to serve five years before he becomes eligible for parole, has been in jail since his arrest one and a half years ago.

Two years ago, a College Station man was arrested at Lake Bryan after an elderly couple saw him get a gun out of his vehicle and walked towards them in what the Brazos County district attorney’s office described as an aggressive manner. Last week, a jury convicted 49 year old Edward Huff of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. According to the DA’s news release, the victims drove away to call police after they saw Huff begin to raise his gun. Prosecutors say an assault pistol and a loaded magazine was found in Huff’s vehicle. The trial judge sentenced Huff to 25 years.
