An extensive criminal history means more prison time for a Bryan man convicted of selling $60 dollars of crack cocaine to an undercover officer.

As part of a plea agreement in Brazos County District Court, 47 year old Freddie Ray Harris was sentenced to 14 years.

Taken into consideration was Harris’ criminal history, according to court records, dating back to 1995 and 21 cases.

This was one of two crack sales offered on the same street to the undercover cops on Veterans Day last year.

According to the arrest report, as the officers were working with Harris in the area of Dale and Candy Hill Streets, a second man approached their vehicle. The second suspect offered the police more crack for their money, then became upset when he was shut out of the sale.

Since then, 25 year old Billy Parnell has been arrested six times on various charges. Last February he was among seven arrested as police seized over $14,000 dollars and 50 grams of crack. Court records show Parnell is jailed after an arrest in May accusing him of engaging in organized criminal activity.
