College Station ISD School Board Members Updated About November 2023 And May 2024 Bond Projects
November’s meeting of the College Station ISD school board included an update about construction projects funded by voter approved bond issues in November 2023 and May 2024. CSISD assistant superintendent Josh Symank and facilities director Paul Buckner summarized the status of high school additions and renovations, renovations at Rock Prairie elementary, the second phase of CSISD’s career and technology complex, and renovations and expansions at middle school and high school athletic fields and stadiums. Pedestrian Escapes Life Threatening Injuries After Being Hit By A Train In College Station
A pedestrian was struck by a train in College Station Thursday morning (November 21) A Union Pacific spokeswoman tells WTAW News that this happened around 7:15 a.m. on the tracks along Wellborn Road at a location that was not at a crossing. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital and the train crew was not hurt. In the comments section of the College Station police department’s Facebook page, an 18 year old student was struck. The man was walking near, but not on the train tracks. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and his family was notified. CSPD’s Facebook page says the intersection of Wellborn and Holleman West was shut down while police and railroad investigators were on the scene.
