Please Be Seated Campaign

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition partners with the Texas Department of Transportation to bring the Please Be Seated campaign to the Brazos Valley.

The Please Be Seated program is aimed at educating parents who are not restraining their children in their vehicles.

Cindy Kovar, Program Coordinator, said you can help by reporting unrestrained children. Reports can be made on specially designed postcards or online.

TxDOT will send out a letter informing the parent that he/she has been identified as riding around with an unrestrained child, and provide them with an educational packet.

Reported vehicles will not be ticketed.

Postcards are available at many locations in the Brazos Valley including the Department of Public Safety office in Bryan, the Brazos County Health Department, the Bryan and College Station libraries, the College Station Medical Center, pediatrician offices, Brazos County Courthouse, and other local law enforcement offices.
